This Jacob Lutes was my great great uncle, son of Jacob Lutes and wife Sophia Lorance. He was born Feb. 25, 1832 and died in 1910. He married Fannie Routh in 1860 and they lived in Marquand, MO where he had a store for many years. He moved to Texas and then to California. It was he who persuaded my grandfather, David Washington Lutes, to move to California. |
